- 1 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 36 solid milk chocolate candy kisses
Directions

1Sift together flour, soda and salt.

2Cream together shortening and peanut butter; gradually add sugar and brown sugar.

3Cream well.

4Add egg, milk and vanilla.

5Beat well, blending in mix thoroughly.

6Shape teaspoon rounded balls; roll in sugar.

7Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375° for 8 minutes.

8Remove from oven and place unwrapped candy kiss in center of cookies. Return to oven for 2 to 5 minutes longer.
