Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 2 c. raw peanuts
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. cold water

Directions

    Cook sugar, syrup and water until it forms a hard ball (crackling stage).

    Add butter and peanuts.

    Then cook until golden brown.

    Remove from fire, add vanilla and baking soda, then stir thoroughly and pour into buttered cookie sheet.

    When hardened, break into pieces.
