- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. mashed potatoes (prepared with milk and salt)
- 1 bar German sweet chocolate
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Melt chocolate over hot water and add mashed potatoes.

2Set aside.

3Cream sugar and butter; add eggs.

4Continue beating, add dry ingredients and milk.

5Add chocolate mixture.

6Bake in 2 greased and floured loaf pans at 350° for 50 minutes.
