- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white Karo
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 2 to 3 c. peanuts (raw)
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Dissolve sugar, Karo, salt and water in medium cast-iron skillet, stirring until mixture begins to boil.

2Turn heat down and stir occasionally.

3Cook about 6 to 8 minutes.

4Add peanuts, stirring occasionally.

5Cook until syrup begins to brown and peanuts are parched.

6Add oleo and vanilla.

7Stir and cook 1 minute.

8Add soda.
-
9Stir fast and pour onto buttered foil.
