- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 tsp. soda (heaping)
- dash of salt
Directions

1Cook sugar, corn syrup and water together to 250° or to hard ball stage.

2Add butter and peanuts; continue cooking until syrup is golden brown and quite brittle when put in cold water.

3Stir constantly to keep peanuts from sticking or burning.

4Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and soda.

5Stir quickly until it foams up. Pour out on well oiled surface.

6When it has cooled, turn over and stretch thin.
