- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 lb. or 2 c. peanuts
- 1 rounded tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix sugar, Karo syrup and cold water.

2Cook to 242° on candy thermometer.

3Stir occasionally.

4Remove from heat; add butter and peanuts.

5Continue cooking to 292°.

6Remove from heat and add 1 rounded teaspoonful baking soda.

7Mix quickly and pour onto buttered pan or pans.

8Cool slightly and pull until thin.

9Cool. Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
