  • 2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 scant c. light Karo
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. raw peanuts (not salted)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Boil the first 3 ingredients to soft ball stage (230°), then add butter and peanuts.

    Cook to hard crack stage, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat; add vanilla and soda.

    Pour on greased surface.

    As it cools, pull from edges to desired thickness and cut off.
