Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Place first 3 ingredients into pan.

    Cook at medium heat. When mixture boils, cover with lid for 3 minutes.

    Remove lid. Stir in margarine, cook to 260°.

    Stir in peanuts, continue stirring and cook to 310°.

    Remove from heat, add baking soda, salt and vanilla.

    Pour batch on greased baking sheet.

    Let cool slightly.

    Loosen from sheet, turn over and stretch as thin as possible.
