- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 c. raw Spanish peanuts, shelled
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1In a 1-quart microproof bowl, mix corn syrup, sugar, salt and peanuts.

2Microwave on High for 7 to 8 minutes.

3Stir in vanilla and butter, continue on High for 2 or 3 minutes.

4Mixture should be slightly browned.

5Add baking soda and stir quickly.

6Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet, let cool.

7Break into pieces.

8Makes 1 pound.

9(Double cook 10 minutes.

10Add butter and vanilla.
