Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. shelled peanuts
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Butter sheet pan of aluminum foil at least 2 feet long.

2In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and water.

3Boil to 280° (soft crack stage).

4Add peanuts and cook until mixture is light brown.

5Immediately remove from heat and add butter, baking soda and salt.

6Pour onto the buttered foil, spread peanuts and brittle evenly.

7Cool.
-
8Break into pieces.
