- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 c. shelled raw peanuts
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Boil together syrup, water and sugar until mixture spins a light thread or to the crackling stage on candy thermometer.

2Add peanuts and cook until peanuts begin to pop.

3Remove from heat and add salt and soda.

4Stir until a golden brown and pour onto a well buttered cookie sheet.

5If a darker brown is desired, return to heat a few seconds before pouring on cookie sheet.
