  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo
  • 1 lb. raw Spanish peanuts
  • 3 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Butter generously two large cookie sheets.

    In large pan, combine sugar, Karo and cook medium until drops like string from spoon.

    Add peanuts.

    Continue cooking until color of peanut brittle.

    Add baking soda; stir well.

    Mixture will boil up and bubble.

    Pour onto prepared pans.

    Spread out, getting peanuts into single layer.

    Cool completely and break into pieces.
