Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 to 3 c. raw peanuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Boil sugar, water and syrup to 260° or soft crack.

2Add butter and peanuts.

3Lower flame and stir constantly.

4Bring to boil; cook until peanuts are done and turn to a golden brown (takes about 10 minutes).

5Have ready vanilla and soda.

6Add vanilla and soda and beat hard, just until foamy.

7Pour out immediately onto buttered enameled tray.

8(A regular cookie sheet is too thin.)

9Do not spread with spoon or you will loose the bubbles. Get everything ready before starting because the last steps go so fast.

10Use a heavy kettle for cooking.
