Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • drop of vanilla
  • 2 rounded tsp. soda

Directions

    Cook sugar, syrup and water until it boils; add raw peanuts. Let cook until 310° on thermometer.

    Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla, then add soda (will puff up fast).

    Pour immediately on buttered cookie sheet with sides.

    Clean pan and put on buttered plate.

    Cool and break in pieces (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan size).
