  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo syrup
  • 2 c. peanuts
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine in 4-quart saucepan sugar, water and syrup; cook until it is 230° (need a candy thermometer).

    Over medium heat, add butter or margarine.

    Cook until it is 302°.

    Remove from heat; add soda and vanilla.

    Beat until foaming reaches peak; pour into greased cookie sheet (prepared earlier) and spread thin.

    Let cool and break into pieces.

    Store in sealed coffee can.
