  • 1 lb. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/2 c. white Karo
  • 2 c. raw peanuts
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    In 1 1/2-quart kettle, cook sugar, Karo and cream of tartar to 257°.

    Add peanuts.

    Cook to hard crack 310°.

    Add oleo and let it fully melt.

    Add soda; mix well.
