  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. peanuts (regular, not raw)
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. butter

Directions

    Cook sugar and corn syrup; add water to 280° medium crack. Add peanuts; cook 3 more minutes or until light golden brown, stirring constantly.

    Add soda; remove at once from heat.

    Add vanilla and butter; stir.

    As soon as foaming has stopped, pour candy into greased cookie sheet with sides (thin layer).

    When cool, break into pieces.
