- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 c. (1 lb.) raw peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Boil sugar, corn syrup and water in large saucepan. Bring to a boil and dump in peanuts.

2Cook, stirring occasionally, until reaches hard-crack stage (285° to 310°). I remove it from the heat at exactly 300° on candy thermometer. Dump in butter, salt and soda. Stir a little to reduce foam. Pour out quickly onto greased cookie sheet. Smooth with the back of spoon a little bit. Cool completely. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
