- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. peanuts (raw or roasted)
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in 3-quart saucepan.

2Cook syrup to hard crack stage (305°).

3Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.

4Add margarine when syrup comes to a boil, stirring frequently after syrup reaches 230°.

5Add nuts when mixture reaches 280° and stir constantly thereafter.

6Remove from heat and stir in soda, mixing thoroughly.

7Pour onto two 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch cookie sheets.

8As candy cools, stretch it until thin by lifting edges of candy and pulling it from the edges.

9Loosen from cookie sheets and break into pieces when it cools.
