  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. parched peanuts
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Bring sugar, syrup, water and peanuts to a boil.

    Cook on medium high, stirring constantly, until hard crack stage (about 300° on a candy thermometer).

    Remove from heat, then quickly stir in soda.

    Be sure to mix completely.

    Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.

    Let cool completely; break into pieces.
