- 225 g peanuts
- 180 ml peanut oil
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 325 g all-purpose flour
- 34 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 150 g caster sugar
- egg yolk
- water
Directions

1Grease baking sheet/line with parchment.

2Preheat oven to 180C (approx 350F).

3Toast peanuts until golden brown, then grind till fine.

4Set aside.

5Combine ground nuts and sifted dry ingredients.

6Slowly add oil, combine well.

7Add the egg.

8Form a fine dough.

9Roll pieces of dough into a small ball (size of a small lime) and place on cookie sheet.

10Brush with egg wash (combine 1 yolk and 1 tablespoon of water, beat lightly) and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.
