  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 pears ripe, peeled, quartered and cored
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • whipped cream or ice cream, to serve

    Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a large shallow baking dish. Whisk eggs and sugar until light and creamy. Fold in flour. Mix cream with vanilla extract and milk then whisk in. Transfer to prepared pan then arrange pears in batter. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 35-40 mins. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
