- 3 lb. ripe pears (9 c.)
- 1 c. crushed pineapple
- grated rind and juice of 1 fresh lime, lemon or orange
- 5 c. sugar
Directions

1Wash, pare and core pears; slice before measuring.

2Chop fine. Combine pears and pineapple.

3Add rind and juice.

4Add sugar and cook over slow heat, stirring frequently.

5Cook 20 minutes.

6Pour into sterilized jars to within 1/4-inch of top.

7Put on cap and screw band firmly.

8Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes. Makes 8 half-pints.
