- 3 lb. ripe pears (9 c.)
- 1 c. crushed pineapple
- grated rind and juice of 1 fresh lime
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Wash, pare and core the pears; slice before measuring.

2Put through a food chopper, using the fine blade.

3Combine pears and pineapple.

4Add rind and juice.

5Add sugar and cook over slow heat, stirring frequently.

6Cook 20 minutes.

7Pour into jars to within 1/4 of top.

8Put on caps.

9Screw bands firmly tight.

10Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.

11Yields 8 half pints.
