  • 1 cuppa shortenin'
  • 3 c. uv sugah
  • 5 c. uv flour
  • 4 tsp. bakin' powders
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. lukewarm watah
  • 8 aig whites, beat stiff
  • 1 tsp. lemun extract
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract

    Blend shortenin' 'n sugah wid mixer.

    Sift flour, bakin powder 'n salt 3 times.

    Now alternately add flour mixture 'n watah (2 tablespoons at a time) to the sugah mixture...add 1/2 uv aig whites...keep on puttin' in flour 'n watah til all gone...now add remaining aig whites 'n extracts...mix 'n pore in three 9-inch layer pans...bake at 325° fur 25 to 30 minutes...Cool 'n frost wid divinity icin.
