Pears In Wine

  • 6 pears, cored
  • 2 c. Burgandy wine
  • 1 c. Tawny Port wine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • grated rind of 1 orange

Directions

    Cut bottom of pears so pears stand up evenly in baking dish. Boil mixture of remaining ingredients for 15 minutes, until slightly thick.

    Pour over pears.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Baste twice during baking.

    Serve warm with ice cream.
