Pears With Wine

- 2 ripe pears
- 4 Tbsp. (approximately) red wine or port
- 1 Tbsp. red jam or 2 Tbsp. sugar
- Single cream or whipped cream or ice cream
Directions

1Peel pears.

2Cut 1/2-inch off stalk end and remove core.

3Put pears into covered dish with jam and wine and cook at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until a knife enters pear easily.

4Turn pears 3 to 4 times during cooking.

5Serve hot or cold with cream or ice cream.
