Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. peas
- 2 qt. water
- 1 pt. fresh coconut milk
- salt to taste
- thyme to taste
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. rice, uncooked
Directions

1Wash peas, drain and place in pot with 2-quarts of water. Prepare coconut milk.

2Put 1/2 pint coconut milk in boil for about 1 1/2 hours or until peas start breaking.

3Add remainder of milk, thyme and salt to taste.

4Wash rice, drain and add to peas.

5Cook under slow fire until done.
