Pecan Apple Pie

- 3 Granny Smith (green) apples
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon/sugar mixture
- 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Core and cut up apples.

2Do not peel.

3Place in pan; add 3/4 cup water.

4Cook until tender; add margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, sugar/cinnamon mixture and cornstarch, mixed with milk (small amount).

5Cook until mixture begins to thicken. Place in pie shell in well-greased pan.

6Pour pecans evenly over the pie and cook at 350° for approximately 30 minutes or until crust browns evenly or pecans have browned.
