- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and water.

2Cook until it spins a thread (very hard ball stage).

3Add pecans and cook until it caramelizes (turns tan).

4Remove from heat and add butter.

5Stir until it is blended and add soda.

6When it foams up, pour onto buttered 9 x 13-inch pan or cookie sheet.

7Cool and break into pieces.
