Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. pecans
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1In heavy saucepan (I use a large iron skillet).

2Mix sugar, water and syrup.

3Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves, using medium heat.

4Cook until soft ball stage.

5Stir in pecans and salt, stirring constantly.

6Cook until hard crack stage.

7Remove from heat and stir in oleo and baking soda.

8This will bubble up quite a lot.

9Pour out immediately on buttered cookie sheets.

10Be careful, this is very hot.

11If you wish thinner candy, stretch the candy as it cools.
