Pecan Brownies

- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 can Betty Crocker cream cheese frosting
- pecan halves (optional)
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. In a large bowl beat sugars and 1/2 cup margarine until light and fluffy.

2Add vanilla and eggs.

3Blend well.

4Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.

5Mix well.

6Stir in chopped pecans.

7Spread in pan and bake for 23 to 28 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. (I bake for only 13 minutes.

8They burn easily.)

9Cool completely. Frost.

10Arrange pecan halves over frosting, if desired. Cut into 36 bars.
