- 1 lb. butter (not margarine)
- 6 eggs, beaten separately (add whites last)
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 lb. pecans
- 1 lb. dates
- 1 lb. raisins
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. plain flour
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg yolks and vanilla.

3Add dry ingredients and then egg whites.

4Batter will be real stiff.* Bake in 275° to 300° oven in tube pan for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

5Let cool 20 to 25 minutes in pan.
