- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. (1 pt.) light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. real butter
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions

1In large heavy saucepan, boil sugar and corn syrup to firm ball stage (245°), stirring occasionally.

2Add butter and half and half, stirring so slowly that syrup does not stop boiling at any time.

3Again cook rapidly, stirring constantly, to 245°.

4Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and nuts.

5Pour into well-buttered 9 x 9-inch pan.

6Cool.

7Cut into bite-sized pieces and wrap each in waxed paper.
