- 1-1/2 cups PLANTERS Pecan Halves, divided
- 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1-1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Reserve 36 of the pecan halves for garnish; finely chop remaining pecans.

3Beat margarine and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.

4Blend in flour, chopped pecans, vanilla and salt.

5Shape dough into 36 balls, each about 1 inch in diameter.

6Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets; flatten with floured glass.

7Press 1 pecan half into center of each cookie.

8Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden.

9Remove from baking sheets; cool completely on wire racks.

10Store in airtight container at room temperature.
