Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- pastry for single crust pie
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
Directions

1In saucepan, combine corn syrup, sugar and butter or margarine.

2Bring to boiling.

3Boil gently, uncovered, 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

4Cool slightly.

5Prepare and roll cut pastry. Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry.

6Flute edge; do not prick pastry.

7Place pecans in pastry shell.

8Combine eggs, vanilla and salt.

9Pour cooled syrup mixture into eggs and beat well.

10Pour over nuts (pecans will rise to top).

11Bake in 375° oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool before serving.

12Cover; chill to store.
