  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1/4 c. butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 to 2 c. pecan halves

Directions

    Cream butter to soften.

    Add sugar, gradually, and cream until fluffy.

    Add syrup and salt.

    Beat well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each is stirred in.

    Fold in pecans. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Lower to 325° and bake 40 minutes. Cool before serving.
