  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add syrup, eggs, salt and vanilla; mix thoroughly.

    Add pecans.

    Pour into unbaked 9 or 10-inch pie shell.

    Bake for 5 minutes at 450°, then reduce heat to 350° and bake until firm (about 40 minutes).
