- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 c. light or dark syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecans (halves or pieces)
Directions

1Cream butter until soft; add the sugar gradually and continue to cream until the mixture is light and fluffy.

2Beat the eggs until they are blended and slightly bubbly.

3Add the beaten eggs alternately with the corn syrup to the sugar and butter mixture. Make sure this mixture is thoroughly blended.

4Add salt and vanilla flavoring.

5Stir in the pecans.

6Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
