- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/3 c. butter
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
- 1 to 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan.

2Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and butter melts.

3Let cool slightly.

4Add eggs, vanilla and salt to mixture, stirring well.

5Pour filling into pastry shell and top with pecan halves.

6Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.
