  • 1 pie shell
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecan pieces
  • whipped cream

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry. Combine the eggs, sugar, salt, corn syrup and vanilla in a bowl and blend well.

    Stir in pecans.

    Pour into pastry.

    Bake 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350° and bake for another 35 minutes.

    Serve with cream.
