- single 9-inch crust
- 3 Tbsp. Crisco
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Line pie pan with crust.

2Cream Crisco and vanilla.

3Gradually add sugars beating after each addition.

4Add beaten eggs in thirds, beating after each addition.

5Thoroughly blend in chopped pecans, corn syrup and salt.

6Pour into unbaked pie shell.

7Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

8Reduce heat to 350°.

9Arrange pecans halves over top of filling.
-
10Continue to bake for 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

11Goes well with ice cream.
