  • 1/4 c. butter/margarine (butter tastes better)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

    Cream butter to soften.

    Add sugar gradually and cream until fluffy.

    Add syrup and salt; beat well.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.

    Hand stir in peanuts.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
