- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light Karo syrup
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Combine butter, sugar and Karo; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.

2Cool.

3Add beaten eggs, vanilla and salt.

4Blend well with beater.

5Remove from mixer and stir in pecans.

6Pour into unbaked pie shell.

7Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.

8Test for doneness.

9Center should be rather firm and spring back when touched.
