  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt.

    Bring to a boil over low heat.

    Pour hot syrup slowly over beaten eggs.

    Cool; add vanilla and pecans and pour into pie shell.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce temperature to 375° and bake 35 to 40 minutes longer.
