Pecan Pie

- 1 c. pecans
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. red Karo syrup
- 4 eggs, beaten (reserve 1 whole egg white)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat margarine and syrup in saucepan and set aside.

2In mixing bowl, mix sugar and eggs together.

3Pour warm syrup mixture over eggs and sugar mixture.

4Add vanilla and mix well. brush 1 egg white on unbaked pie crusts.

5Spread pecans in bottom of pie crusts.

6Pour above mixture in crusts over pecans.

7Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.

8Makes 2 pies.
