- pastry for one 9-inch pie
- 3 Tbsp. oleo
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. pecan halves
- unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Directions

1Cream butter or margarine with extract.

2Gradually add sugar, creaming well.

3Add beaten eggs.

4Blend in chopped pecans along with syrup and salt.

5Turn into pie shell.

6Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

7Reduce heat to 350°.

8Take out of oven.

9Arrange pecan halves on top of pie.

10Return to oven.

11Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until set; cool.

12When cut, you may put whipped cream on each piece.
