- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. broken pecans plus pecan halves
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.

2Add salt, syrup, eggs and vanilla; mix all together.

3In an unbaked pie shell, put in nuts and also arrange the whole pecans in a design as they will rise to the top of pie.

4Pour filling over pecans. Bake in 450° oven for 10 minutes.

5Reduce temperature to 350° and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife can be inserted in center and comes out clean.

6Makes an 8-inch pie.
