- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1 c. pecans
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, oleo and salt.

2Bring to boil over low heat.

3Pour hot mixture slowly over beaten eggs, stirring constantly.

4Cool.

5Add vanilla and pecans.

6Pour into pie shell. Bake in 400° oven for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 375° and cook 30 to 50 minutes.
