- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/3 c. butter
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 to 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
- 9-inch pie shell (deep dish only)
Directions

1Combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan.

2Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and butter melts.

3Let cool slightly.

4Add eggs, vanilla and salt to mixture, stirring well.

5Pour filling into shell; top with pecan halves.

6Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
